ACTION
LSU Action is the volunteering section of Loughborough Students' Union.

Every year, over 2,000 students will contribute to over 25,000 hours of volunteering in projects such as working with children, elderly, disabled but also they have an opportunity to help communities overseas in places such a Mexico, Uganda, Nepal or India!
A-Teams
Each hall committee on campus will have 2 Action reps who are responsible for recruiting volunteers for our one off projects which are usually organised for a Wednesday afternoon (most of Loughborough students have Wednesday afternoons off, which gives you a great opportunity to join us on a project!) or a Weekend if we are going to a place that requires longer transport time.

A team projects usually include: dog walking, IT sessions with the elderly, gardening, helping at a horse riding school, or doing the odd job for an elderly/disabled person who just needs help of our amazing students!
Action Projects
There are 6 sections in Action. They include projects which you can sign up and volunteer in your own time, or in more flexible hours. For example, we have an Action Nursery project where you sign up for an hour whenever you have some time!
